Armor - Cinema 4D

I have developed an idea of this retro historic fantasy like armor. I have made development with the 3d models style over one year and after that I finished the final armor with Cinema 4D 10.5. The armor texture is completely procedural 3d shader made with Cinema 4D shaders. The modeling is done with Hypernurbs subdivision method.

I made some postwork in Photohop including color correction, levels adjustment and depth of field effect.
This is perhaps most interesting 3d modeling art project I have done with Cinema 4D.

Neon and Chrome challenge

This was my lighting challenge entry for the Neon and Chrome held by Jeremy Birn from www.3drender.com in 2007 . I wanted to make an illustration style like rendering and lighting. The textures are also made by me and the graffitti is also photographed by me. Then I used it as a wall texture. The modeling was not done by me. It was given to be used in this competition by 3d Render.

The original photo of graffitti texture can be found on my photo blog at flickr:

I have started this work in Open Canvas where the most of the organic background was done. My idea was to make a fantasy/scifi like illustration with some 3d element. I also wanted to make the 3d element to look like a part of this 2d-artwork. In that way that it would not look too much 3d. I have made some color changes, more painting and composition later in Photoshop. I made in 3d-element of nanovirus Cinema 4D. There are some separate passes rendered of nanovirus for example shadow and diffusion. However most of this work is 2d.
